At the invitation of the Goi Peace Foundation, on 5 December 2017, H.E. Ambassador Chea Kimtha gave a lecture concerning ‘The Current Developments of Japan-Cambodia Relations’ and ‘The Current Situation of Khmer Women in Cambodian Society’ at the Gunma Prefectural Women’s University.
The Goi Peace Foundation and International Communication of the Gunma Prefectural Women’s University co-organized the Lecture by Ambassador Chea Kimtha, and about 250 Students and Gunma Prefectural citizens participated in the Lecture.
H.E. Ambassador Chea Kimtha’s congratulatory message is posted on the 4-page special supplements of The Japan Times, Japan’s largest and oldest English-language daily newspaper, on the auspicious occasion of the celebration marking the 64th Anniversary of Cambodia’s Independence Day on November 9, 2017.

At the invitation of Sophia University, H.E. Ambassador Chea Kimtha attended as an honorable guest and delivered a speech at the “Reception of the Ramon Magsaysay 2017”, held on 6th November 2017 at Hotel New Otani, to congratulate Prof. Yoshiaki Ishizawa, Director of the Sophia Asia Center for Research and Human Development, for receiving the award of “Ramon Masaysay 2017”.
Prof. Yoshiaki Ishizawa was conferred the award of “Ramon Masaysay 2017” for his contribution to conservation and restoration of Cambodia’s Angkor Wat Temple for more than 20 years.
More than 200 guests attended the said Reception to congratulate Prof. Yoshiaki Ishizawa.
The Royal Embassy of Cambodia in cooperation with the International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS) organized the ACT Golf Tournament 2017 on 5th November 2017 at TOYOSATO Golf Club, Tsukuba Ibarakai.
Ambassadors and spouses, ASEAN diplomats and Japanese people from the private companies attended the tournament.
Dr. Haruhisa Handa, Honorary Consul of Cambodia in Fukuoka and Chairman of ISPS; and Sir John Key, former Prime Minister of New Zealand also graced the tournament with their presence.
The ACT Golf Tournament was completed with prize presentation to the winners and lucky draws.
