On 9th September 2015, H.E. Ambassador participated in the 1st Joint meeting of the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Association (ALFS) at the House of Representatives of Japan.
During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador noted that the ALFS is a leading lady society in Japan which plays a very significant role in strengthening and deepen understanding and friendship among the Asia-Pacific Embassies in Tokyo.
H.E. Ambassador also appreciated the hard work and dedication of the ALFS member countries, members of the ALFS Executive Board for their contribution to the successful ALFS and Charity Bazaar, and expressed willingness to closely cooperate with the member countries for the success of charity and welfare activities in the coming years.
On 7th September 2015, H.E. Ambassador received a courtesy call from Mrs. Nanako Nakamura, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Association (ALFS), at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia.
During the courtesy call, Mrs. Nanako Nakamura congratulated H.E. Ambassador on her appointment as Ambassador of Cambodia to Japan and strongly believed that H.E. Ambassador would contribute to make the annual ALFS Festival and Charity Bazaar successful and well-attended and other activities meaningful.
H.E. Ambassador expressed her commitment to contribute to realize further accomplishments in the ALFS in order to support charity and welfare activities of the member countries.
On 9th September 2015, H.E. Ambassador had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Masahiro Imamura, Secretary General of the Japan-Cambodia Parliamentary Friendship League, at the House of Representatives of Japan.
During the meeting, H.E. Mr. Masahiro Imamura highly appreciatedthe recent progress in Cambodia and expressed his willingness to further promote the friendship relations of both countries for the mutual understanding and the benefit of the two peoples.
H.E. Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude to the government and people of Japan for all kind of assistances for the development of Cambodia.
On 27th August 2015, H.E. Ambassador Chea Kimtha attended the meeting between H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs of Cambodia, and H.E. Mr. Kazuyuki NAKANE, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia.
The meeting was made prior to H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi’s participation in the World Assembly for Women (WAW), held on 28th – 29th August 2015 in Tokyo.
On 27thAugust 2015, H.E. Ambassador Chea Kimtha received a courtesy call from with 10 Cambodian High School students led by H.E. Fumiaki Takahashi, Former Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia. They attended the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science (Sakura Science Plan), organized by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), from 21st to 29th August 2015.
