On 11th July 2017, H.E. Ms. Chea Kimtha, Ambassador of Cambodia to Japan, together with other Ambassadors of ASEAN Member States attended the luncheon hosted by H.E. Mr. Fumio Kishida, Foreign Minister of Japan, at Iikura Guest House, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

ASEAN – Japan Cooperation.
On 11 July 2017, at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, H.E. Ambassador
Chea Kimtha accompanied H.E. Dr. Ith Samheng, Minister of the Ministry of Labour and Vacational Training of Cambodia, to attend the Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Cooperation on the Technical Intern Training Program between the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia and the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan.
In the evening on 09 July 2017, Royal Embassy of Cambodia organized the meeting between
His Excellency Dr. Ith Samheng, Minister of the Ministry of Labour and Vacational Training of Cambodia, and Cambodian Trainees working in Japan, during H.E. Minister’s working visit in Japan from 09 to 12 July 2017. There were 85 Cambodian trainees participated in the meeting.
Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Japan, Cambodian Community in Japan and Cambodian Students Associations in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia held the “Cambodia Festival 2017” on 3-4 May 2017 at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, Japan, with a great success.
The Festival was aimed at raising awareness of Japanese people and tourists about Cambodian culture and custom through the introduction of Khmer traditional dances, songs, various products and food tasting.
The Cambodia Festival 2017 was participated by Japanese dignitaries, such as H.E. Mr. Hisayuki Fujii, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and H.E. Mr. Kenji Kitahashi, Mayor of Kitakyushu City.
The Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Japan with the support of the ASEAN- Japan Center organized the “Seminar on Promotion and Attraction of Japanese Visitors to Cambodia: Kingdom of Wonder” on 31st March 2017 at the Embassy in Tokyo.
There were approximately 120 participants in the Seminar, most of them coming from Japanese tour companies.
H.E. Ambassador Chea Kimtha delivered welcoming remarks and updated the Cambodia-Japan relations, the current development of Cambodia, such as political and economic situation, and tourism sector in Cambodia.
The Further awareness and promotion of Khmer culture and custom, and tourism potentials in Cambodia were made through the slides presentation in order to attract Japanese visitors to Cambodia, Kingdom of Wonder.
The Embassy also prepared and introduced Khmer food to the participants in the seminar.
